With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved wife, Marilyn E. Wilson, who passed away peacefully at the age of 91 with her husband by her side.
Born in Washington, D.C., Marilyn spent the majority of her life in Maryland, where she built a home filled with love, family, and lasting memories. In her later years, she retired to Florida, where she continued to enjoy life surrounded by those she cherished.
Marilyn shared an extraordinary love story with her beloved husband, Ronald Wilson, to whom she was married for 72 years and together with for an incredible 75 years. Their relationship was a true testament to enduring love, devotion, and partnership—an inspiration to all who knew them.
A woman of deep faith, Marilyn was a devoted catholic whose values of love, kindness, and compassion guided her life and the way she cared for others.
She was the heart of her family—steadfast, nurturing, and endlessly loving. She is survived by her four children: her eldest daughter Lori Arnold; her son Scott Wilson and his wife Linda; her daughter Cindy Burnett; and her daughter Dawn Wilson and her fiancé Solange.
Marilyn’s legacy continues through her ten grandchildren, Amber Hirsch (Fredrick), Abby Atkinson (Casey) and Austin Borkoski children of Lori Arnold; Blaire Wilson, Katie Wilson, Max Wilson and Nick Wilson children of Scott and Linda Wilson; Chelsea Powell (John), Haley Burnett and Ian Burnett children of Cindy Burnett and four great-grandchildren Channing, Finn, Anthony and Preston each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She treasured her family deeply and found her greatest happiness in watching it grow across generations.
She will be remembered for her strength, her grace, and the quiet but powerful way she made everyone around her feel loved and supported. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support during this time. As we honor Marilyn’s life, we hold tightly to the memories, the lessons, and the love she leaves behind.
