Marise Adele Ackner was born on January 17, 1927 in Queens New York and passed away on September 22, 2018 in West Palm Beach Fl. Adele (as she was known) attended City College of New York where she studied science which led to her first career as a middle school science teacher. After retiring from teaching she became an avid potter, using her science background to make her own clay and glazes. Her artistic nature led her to explore many other crafts; jewelry making, stained glass, beading, and Japanese flower arranging. Adele was predeceased by her first husband Richard Steven Quinlan and her second husband Joseph Ackner. Adele is survived by three children Vickie Hurewitz of Ballston Lake, NY, Richard Ackner of West Palm Beach FL, David Ackner, also residing in West Palm Beach and daughters-in-law Cheryl Ackner and Robbyn Ackner. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. During her long and creative life she was an inspiration to her children and grandchildren to pursue their passions and live life to the fullest. A lifelong lover of dogs Adele owned many German Shepard’s and Doberman Pinchers. Her family will miss her very much.
