Marshall Forrest Lambert

Matt was a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a man who had a remarkable ability to make the people around him feel valued and cared for.

For 30 years, he shared a beautiful life with his wife, Sharon. Together, they raised four children – Jack (25), Julia (21), Jordan (19), and Ryan (17) – who were the greatest loves of his life and his greatest source of pride. Matt cherished his family above all else. No matter how demanding his career or how much responsibility he carried, Sharon and the kids always came first. He spoke about them often, with a smile and a pride that was impossible to miss.

Matt was a proud Massachusetts native and a 1992 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His career in hospitality and club management eventually brought him to South Florida, where he found a second home and, in 2003, joined The Country Club at Mirasol.

For the next 23 years, Matt gave his heart to Mirasol. As General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, he helped guide the Club through tremendous growth and change, but his greatest contribution was never about the buildings, projects, or accolades. It was about the people.

Matt believed in people. He believed in giving others a chance, helping them find their strengths, and encouraging them to become the best versions of themselves. He mentored countless employees and future leaders, always willing to share his time, his wisdom, and

often a good story or a laugh. To many, he was not simply their boss - he was someone they could turn to, someone who believed in them, and someone who genuinely wanted to see them succeed.

He brought that same generosity and warmth to his friendships and to the Mirasol community. He was a trusted colleague, a cherished friend, and a familiar presence whose absence will be deeply felt.

Matt accomplished more professionally than could ever be captured in a list of awards or achievements. He led Mirasol through some of its most important moments and helped shape the community it is today. He was especially proud of seeing members enjoy the places and experiences he helped create. But those accomplishments were meaningful to him because they brought people together.

Those who knew Matt will remember his kindness, his loyalty, his sense of humor, his wisdom, and his willingness to always lend a hand. They will remember how proudly he spoke about his family, how much he cared about the people he worked with, and how he could make even the busiest days a little lighter.

Most of all, Matt will be remembered for the love he gave - to Sharon, to his children, to his family and friends, and to the community he devoted so much of his life to.

In addition to his wife and children, Matt is survived by his brother, Whitney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen and Roger Lambert.

A scholarship for hospitality students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is being established in his name, carrying forward his commitment to mentorship and the development of future industry leaders.
