Mary “Carol” Hanlon, age 75, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed into the care of God on September 1, 2014 after a long illness. Carol was born in Miami Beach, Florida, to the late Edward and Kathleen (Johnson) Fitzpatrick.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1956 and from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1959, where she worked as registered nurse in the operating room for almost four decades before she retired in 2008.
Carol was predeceased by her daughter Kelly and siblings, James Johnson, Charles Fitzpatrick and Faye Ott.
Survivors include children Herbert Hanlon and Shannon Hanlon; grandchildren Jared Hanlon and Madeline Aven; siblings John Fitzpatrick of GA, Michael Fitzpatrick of OK, Joseph Fitzpatrick of VA, and Elizabeth Gatrell of GA; in addition to numerous family members and cherished friends.
A mass will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach. Visitation will be at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home in Jupiter, FL on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2PM until 4 PM; followed by a memorial and rosary service at 4 PM.
