Born to dance, Mary thrived on teaching tap dance and making those around her happier and better versions of themselves. Always a smile on her face and positive, can do attitude, with never a bad word to say of anyone.
She spent the past 35 years as choreographer, teacher, mentor and performer in her beloved dance troupe, The Coquettes. She considered all the ladies in the Coquettes to be part of her extended family and they were all very dear to her heart. They are an all volunteer troupe that performs over 40 shows a year in the greater Palm Beach area at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, Veterans Administration as well as churches. They spread their joy far and wide and bring many smiles wherever they perform. Mary was tap dancing with the Coquettes 3 weeks prior to her illness. In later years, she suffered from failing eyesight and hearing loss but would always say with a smile on her face, "my eyes dont work and my ears don't work but my feet still work!" She was an amazing woman and an inspiration to thousands. Mary also had a children’s dance school in Highwood, Illinois for over 35 years and was a pillar of the Highwood Community.
Mary was also very active politically and was thrilled to know that Joe Biden will be our 46th President. She felt as POTUS, Joe will return our country to the decency we once enjoyed.
A celebration of a life very well lived will be held for family and friends post covid. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Judes.org.
