He was the 10th child of 11, born to Warner Paul Christenson and 3rd child of 4, to Clarice Alice Christenson. Peter is survived by his beloved wife Linda Jones Christenson. He was a devoted and generous father to Cass Walker Christenson (Nicole), Zackary Xavier Martin (Nelly), Heather Dawn Bayer (Tim) and Kent Peter Christenson. He was a loving Grandpa to Cole Walker Christenson, Grace Lynn Christenson, Hadley Lynn Bayer, Whitney Elizabeth Bayer and Arya Francesca Martin. Peter is also survived by four brothers Milford Paul Christenson (Margaret), Ervy Lee Christenson (Susan), David Allen Christenson (Lucille) and Warner Thomas Christenson (Fran), along with many nieces and nephews.
Peter earned a business degree in finance from the University of Miami. He founded C & A Financial Programs, Inc. and Christenson and Associates Mortgage Company. He was the largest private buyer of purchase money mortgages in the United States and several times mortgage broker of the year. Peter was an avid collector of rare stamps and coins. He also enjoyed watching sporting events and was a die-hard Miami Heat and Marlins fan.
Peter spent his final energies lifting up his family, smiling with his eyes and loving with his heart.
He would want you to celebrate his life, be happy about the forgiveness he accepted from Jesus and would want you to be saved too, so he would see you again in Heaven. We will miss everything about him, his laughter, charisma, jokes, warm and caring presence, kind words, big heart and mostly his love of family. Peter will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
O Lord, support us all the day long, until the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then in thy mercy, grant us a safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at the last. Amen.
Look to the Heavens, for He will be there.
