His parents brought him to the U.S. when he was four years old and he grew up first in Seattle, WA. and later Newtown, CT. He found his paradise in Palm Beach County during the 1980s and loved to spend time near the water - boating, diving, and fishing in the Florida Keys and Bahamas. After a long career in the surveying/engineering field, Otto was enjoying his retirement - relaxing by the pool with his wife, playing golf with good friends, and being an awesome cat dad to Caela Clementine.
Otto is survived by his loving wife and very best friend, Carol; his cousin and her husband, Irma and Willy Matter, and their family in Germany; and his devoted companion, Caela Clementine. Carol wishes to thank all their friends and his family in Germany who have provided ongoing love and support during this time, as well as the staff at Trustbridge Hospice of West Palm Beach for their kind and compassionate care.
Due to covid-19, services will be held in the minds and hearts of those who care to remember him. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Trustbridge Hospice or the animal rescue charity of your choice.
Caela Clementine and I miss you terribly Otto, you are the love of my life now and forever... dinna forget.
