
Patricia Anne Tarduogno (nee Curtin) departed this life on Saturday May 3, 2025. She lived life to the fullest, spending her last day playing bridge and attending a Kentucky Derby Party with friends at Mangrove Bay in Jupiter! At the time of her passing she was surrounded by family members.
Patricia was born and raised in Bay Ridge, NY. She was a graduate of St. Brendan’s Academy for girls and attended Notre Dame College for women on Staten Island where she studied English Literature and was an active member of the college’s drama program.
Through mutual friends she met her future husband, Louis Tarduogno, a WWII veteran and they married in April of 1950. They spent the next 25 years living in Park Slope and Queens Village both in New York City. In 1975 they moved to Greensboro, North Carolina where she lived until 2017, when she relocated to Jupiter, FL; the family also enjoyed over 30 summers at their cabin on Lake Wallkill in Sussex NJ.
Patricia spent 30 years as a homemaker raising 4 children and then spent the next 14 years as a Taxpayer Advocate with the IRS.
In Greensboro, she also was active in the League of Women Voters, and volunteered weekly, delivering food for over 10 years with Meals on Wheels and supporting programs at the St. Francis Spring Center, serving meals to program participants.
An accomplished gardener, Patricia took great pride in her rose gardens. A lifelong bridge player, she continued to enjoy playing bridge with her friends at Mangrove Bay in Jupiter; she was an avid reader, loved to travel, and actively engaged in activities involving English literature and theatre.
She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Vince (Joyce) of Jupiter, FL, Jeanne Andrews (Jim) of Hobe Sound, FL, Joan Roberts (Joe) of Durham, N.C. and Thomas (Carol) of New City, NY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jeff Andrews (Breanne), Matthew Tarduogno, Chris Roberts, Sarah Roberts (Robert Lightbourn), Grace Tarduogno and Elizabeth Tarduogno, 4 great grandchildren Hailey, Addie, Scarlett, Declan, and 14 nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Louis, her parents Anne Colgan Curtin and Alphonsus Curtin, her beloved sister Mary Kelly, and her brothers, Richard Curtin and Bill Curtin.
Since moving to Jupiter in 2017, Pat has been a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Tequesta FL where a Eucharistic service will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 4PM, followed by a champagne reception in the church courtyard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the Food Pantry at Good Shepherd, which provides meals to about 50 local families each week.
