It’s with deep dejection that we announce the passing of Paul Anthony Hoffman aka Huffy, Captain Paul, Pauly or Big Paul, who departed this life unexpectedly on July 27, 2024, at the age of 69, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Leaving behind endless memories, his sharp wit and unmatched ability to bring laughter to anyone who met him.
Born April 21, 1955, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to Leroy Hoffman & Francis Hoffman, Paul grew up an active young man, loving to fish, play sports and being on the water. Paul graduated school at Lincoln High School and went on to make a big leap of relocating to FL shortly after. He then pursued his love of being on the water.
After many years of working on boats and later assuming the role as a Boat Captain, he met the love of his life, late wife, Joan Hoffman, whom he married October 22, 1989. Paul and Joan spent 15 wonderful years together, and brought their two sons into the world, eldest son Anthony V. Hoffman and youngest son Nicholas P. Hoffman.
Paul is survived by son, Anthony V. Hoffman; son, Nicholas P. Hoffman; sister, Judy Davis; brother in-law, Charlie Davis and daughter in-law Alexis Wallace.
He was preceded in death by late wife, Joan Hoffman; father, Leroy Hoffman and mother, Francis Hoffman.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held during a mass on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Rd, North Palm Beach, Florida 33408. Family and friends are welcome to join the family as we celebrate Paul’s life and bless him through his transition.
