Peter proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1971. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in New York City, where he worked for 35 years in the finance credit department.
Throughout his life, Peter will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to service, and the many years of hard work and integrity he brought to his career and community. Peter was a ferocious reader, a connoisseur of fine Italian red wine, lover of sports, especially his NY Giants, Rangers and of course Duke Basketball.
Peter was the beloved son of George and Emily Teutschman, and leaves behind his daughter Laurayne Croke, his son, Peter George Teutschman, their mother Emilie, his cherished sisters Georgeanne, Patricia, and Donna, cousin Tina, brother-in-law Tony, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Angela, his three beautiful grandchildren, Aiden, Addison, and Anthony, as well as his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and step family. And lastly, his faithful dog Finn who was always at his side, either at the dog park or at home.
Peter leaves behind family and friends who will honor his memory, his laughter, his stories and carry forward the legacy of love, strength, and devotion he shared with those around him. Life will be a bit less enjoyable for all who knew him, and who got to be part of his life, his kindness and generosity. Rest in peace Pete, you will forever be missed!
