The family moved to Miami, FL in 1944. Richard attended the local school system, graduating from Miami Jackson High School. He married Gloria Hollis Bombardier and together they shared 54 years of marriage. Richard worked in the service contracts department at Eastern Airlines for 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; a sister-in-law, Jackie Scholl and a brother-in-law, Warren P. Hollis.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his step-father, Albert Leach; his sister, Connie Roach; his neic, Cathy Kittrell and a nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31,2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Fl 33458. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
