An angel was sent by the Lord
And to me, he meant the world.
Of me, he took good care
When I needed him, he was always there.
He was my eyes when I couldn't see
He always looked out for me.
He was my voice when I couldn't talk.
He was my feet when I couldn't walk.
He gave me strength when I was weak.
He was the one I would always seek.
When things went wrong he always made it right.
When I was scared he would comfort me at night.
He is my hero, he is the best,
And Lord I know this is just a test.
Sometimes things just go wrong,
But for my dad I will remain strong.
I know he is in my heart, and he will never leave me alone,
But please make it fast Lord I need to see him soon.
I know there is a reason to why you do things,
I guess it was time to give the angel back his wings.
Dad, I miss you so much,
I miss your every kiss, and your every touch.
May God bless you wherever you are,
Just know that you will always be my shining star.
Now, what I'm about to say is so true,
Dad, I would do anything to trade places with you.
