Rosemary Cipolla Donnelly

Age 88 of Hobe Sound, left this world on July 21, 2012, to fly with the angels after her valiant battle with lymphoma. Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend; she leaves behind a legacy of undying love for her family and friends. Rosemary was born in Quincy, MA to Vincent and Maria Cipolla and was the youngest of three siblings, Anthony, Josephine and Joseph. She married James Wilkinson in 1947 and they became the proud parents of five children. After James passed away in 1984, Rosemary met the second love of her life, Thomas Donnelly, on a blind date and they married in 1990. Through this union, her family and love continued to grow.

Rosemary was predeceased in death by her parents and siblings, her son Brian; and husbands James and Thomas. She is survived by her daughter Susan Blackburn, son James and wife Christine Wilkinson, daughter Lynne and husband Steve Hagibes, daughter Mary Wilkinson, daughter Kathy and husband Robert Dummett and daughter Gail and husband Michael Ray. Also survived by her grandchildren Nicole, Brian, Amy, Thomas, James, Ryan, Amanda, Steven, Jessica, Christopher, Jennifer, Michael and Matthew, great grandchildren Brooke, Brandy, Makayla, Jackson, Lily, Hayden, Ashley and Julia. Rosemary is also is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Cipolla, many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones who touched her life. The family recognizes Dr. Henry Shapiro for his years of excellent care of Rosemary and for keeping her with us for 23 years after she was diagnosed with this terrible disease. Rosemary had a wonderful zest for life, which was apparent when her smile lit up the room. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading, playing cards and had a keen sense of adventure. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 26th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail in Jupiter, FL. Funeral Mass and Internment will be held in Quincy, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 28th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (1-888-557-7177).
