Dr. Susan M Bennett

She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, though she spent her formative years in Port Huron among loving family members, and many cousins and friends. Some of her most cherished memories were spent with them on Lake Huron swimming, boating and water skiing. She was an avid winter skier, which she enjoyed on her many travels around the world.

Susan earned her master’s and Ph.D. degrees in psychology from Notre Dame University, and was a lifelong, devoted fan of The Fighting Irish!

Susan’s career spanned decades and continents. She worked for several large corporations and universities. This includes working as a consultant for Drake Beam Morin, Inc., a worldwide leader in human resource services. Susan specialized in providing job transition and coaching for displaced executives, helping them assess their former careers, set goals for the future, and find new employment opportunities. The last ten years of her career were spent as a senior executive in management consulting at Accenture. This work took her to places across the U.S. as well as assignments in London, Russia, and Brazil. She worked as she lived, embodying high standards, a generous spirit, and an enduring legacy.

After retiring from Accenture, she obtained her real estate license. She worked for the Keyes Company Realtors, a Top 10 Independent firm in the US, where she excelled and was consistently a top producer. She continued ‘the consultant role’, always providing top-notch service to her clients and colleagues.

Susan had a deep commitment to volunteering in her community and served as an officer on several boards including the Tiara Condominium, the Singer Island Civic Association, and Deporres Place.

Susan is survived by her sister, Barbara; her nephew, Steven and his wife Andrea; her niece, Elizabeth and her husband Zach, along with her dear Aunt Ginny and many cousins.

Susan will be remembered as a friend whose kindness, generosity and loving personality deeply touched everyone who knew her. Her passion for life and love for others will forever be missed.
