Susan was born in Brooklyn, New York, into a large Italian family. After high school she graduated from secretarial school, and then worked as a secretary in New York for several years. She met her husband, Joe, at a local dance, and the couple married in 1944. They raised three children in New Hyde Park, Long Island. Susan was quite an Italian cook, especially known for her amazing eggplant parmesan.
When Joe retired in 1984, Sue and Joe moved to Juno Beach, FL, where they golfed and socialized with friends for many years. Susan especially enjoyed playing the piano, winning at bridge, and always a good laugh. After Joe passed away in 2010, she continued to live independently in their condo in Juno Beach for another six years.
At age 100, Susan moved to the Bayview Pavilion Assisted Living facility in St. Augustine, FL. She spent the last few years there engaged in various activities, and she was admired by all for her energy and vitality. She especially loved walking outside and enjoying the views over the water.
Susan is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
