Theodore James Pappas “Ted”, 79, of Palm Beach Gardens Florida, passed away the night of October 16, 2019 peacefully in his home.
Ted is survived by his wife Angela of 58 years, daughter Susan Julien and son-in-law Rejean Julien, son Christopher, and grandchildren Nicole, Alexander, Luke and Ryan, as well as his extended family and friends.
Ted moved with his wife to Florida some 29 years ago from Westchester county New York to be closer to his two sisters Anna and Alice. Ted and Angie bought a Subway Restaurant on Singer Island where along with Anna and his niece Tina, and husband Bill ran for a few years till his son and daughter followed them to Florida and became partners. Father and son ran the business together with Angela up until the very end, preferring to stay active then sit at home and enjoy retirement.
Ted was born in the Manhattan and after marrying Angela they moved out to Westchester County in Elmsford where they raised their children. Ted worked for many years as the manager of Briggs Car Leasing in Great Neck Long Island. They had a summer home in the Poconos where they spent much time enjoying the outdoors both summer and winter. Each year they took a trip to Florida to visit with his sisters and their families or various other trips which were always memorable and fun.
Ted was a very compassionate person with a big heart and everyone who came in contact with him felt his kindness. He enjoyed watching sports (basketball, baseball) time spent with family and friends and was always up for a good debate!
Both sisters Anna and Alice have since passed as have his parents William and Antoinette who came to America originally from Greece. He was proud of his heritage and his love of God.
Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 3:00 pm in Jupiter at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458
