

Van was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and later served in the Navy Reserves. He served honorably for many years and attained the rank of Commander in the Reserves.
After his navy services, Van was employed as an engineer at FPL and Pratt Whitney until he ventured out on his own in the late 80’s. He established his own Consulting Engineering firm where he worked as a Professional Engineer until his passing. He was a highly respected Professional Engineer in the Civil Engineering field.
Van enjoyed traveling around the country with his wife Marjorie. He obtained a private pilot's license and owned a small plane for travel for many years. Later, RV traveling was the choice for their adventures around the United States.
Van’s death is preceded by his wife, Marjorie, married 71 years. Van is survived by son David and his wife, Lorinda and their 2 boys Drew & Zachary and son Douglas and his wife, Lorayn and their daughter Abigail.
A memorial service will be held at Aycock funeral home at 1112 Military Trail in Jupiter on April 11th at 1pm. A celebration of Van's life will immediately follow the service at Aycock funeral home. A lite lunch will be served.
