

born September 3, 1931 passed away quietly at home February 16, 2014.
Her death was preceded by her son James Richard Hooper. Virginia Marie was survived: by her daughters Susan Minor and Nancy Becerra, her son Clark Hooper, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.
Virginia was born in Vilas County, Wisconsin to Forrest and Virginia Clark. Virginia Marie grew up in Gary, Indiana where she attended Emerson High School. After graduating high school she attended DePauw University and Northwestern where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree, later in life she finished her Master’s Degree at Florida Atlantic University.
Virginia Marie was a devoted mother and teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School, where she taught English and created the Drama Club. During her time at John F. Kennedy Middle School she had a positive lifelong impact on many of her numerous students. After her retirement Virginia Marie devoted herself to taking care of her mother and family. During this time Virginia Marie passed on her love of music and wildlife to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia always looked forward to having gatherings with family and friends.
