Ailona Mele Stucchi (Felix), 72, of DeLand, Florida, formerly of Pukalani, Maui, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 17, 2026, while visiting her ohana on Maui. Ailona shared her life with her loving husband, Paul Stucchi.
She was born on December 17, 1953, in Honolulu,
Hawaii, to the late Winfred Stanley Felix and the late
Sharon Rose (Silva) Pierson. Ailona was born and raised in Palolo Valley and grew up with her very large ohana on Waiomao Road.
Those who knew her will miss her peppy, upbeat, and bigger-than-life personality. You could hear her laughter before you could see her. Though tiny in stature, she was truly larger than life. She retired as Senior Operations Manager for Digital Equipment Corp. in Massachusetts. She was a professional competition dancer as well as an instructor for Arthur Murray Studios. She took great pride in her Hawaiian heritage and culture.
She loved and prayed daily to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for her husband and family. She was the sister who always called for every holiday and birthday, making sure to keep in touch and stay
connected. Ailona was preceded in death by her sisters, Laura
(Pierson) Tinsley and Lorna (Pierson, Soberano) Webster, and her brother, Mark Manning. She is survived by her husband Paul Stucchi. Brothers, Terry Felix, Dennis Manning, and David
Manning; and her sisters, Denise (Manning) Bradbury and Misty (Manning) Griffiths. Services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Ballard Family Mortuary, 440 Ala Makani Street,
Kahului, Maui. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with services at
10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Makawao Veterans Cemetery.
