Albert Gouveia Sr., 78, of Hilo, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017. Albert retired as a Maintenance Worker for Lanakila Housing Inc.. Celebration of Life to be held at Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo (570 Kinoole Street Hilo, HI 96720) on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Visitation 10:00am, service at 11:00am. He is survived by his wife Frances J. Gouveia of Hilo; sons Albert Gouveia Jr. of Hilo, Michael (Diana Freeman) Gouveia of Pahoa, John Gouveia of Pepeekeo, Clifford (Ann) Gouveia of Mt. View, Bobby (Tina Cavillis) Gouveia of Kea’au and Marcus (Monica) Gouveia of Pahoa; daughter Francine (Don Gonsalves) Teixeira of Kea’au; sisters Emily Rerell of California and May G. Toro of Oah’u. Albert is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo.
