Angela Yvonne Turner passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on November 12, 1957, in Clovis, New Mexico, she was the child of a US Airman and spent her early years living in England and Ohio, eventually settling in north Texas, where she graduated from Trinity High School in Euless. Angie’s adventurous life included traveling the world as a flight attendant, before making her way to Maui to study massage therapy to embrace the island’s healing spirit, and later serving as a U.S. Census field agent to connect with the community that she loved. A gifted creator, Angela loved taking things apart, fixing computers, making art out of anything and everything, singing karaoke, dancing like no one’s watching, and spending time by the ocean. She is survived by her daughter Danielle (Jordan), her siblings Cindy, David, and Cathy, and her stepfather Jimmy. She is reunited with her mother Midge, her father Dean, sister Deannie Diane, and her beloved friend and partner Mark Watanabe. Her life was defined by her creativity, sharp wit, and deep compassion which she will always be remembered for.
A celebration of life will be held at Kula Community Center on November 22nd at 1:00 PM. We invite anyone who knew her to join us, only asking that you bring a story to share.
