Arlene L. Agustin, 61 of Kahului, Maui, passed away on September 9, 2025, under the care of Hospice Maui, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on August 4, 1964 in Camiling, Tarlac of the Philippines and moved to the island of Maui at the age of 29.
Arlene was a very hardworking and passionate person. If you ask any of her colleagues or guests from her recent occupation as a hotel housekeeping supervisor, they would tell you the same. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Felicisima Agustin; and sister, Luz Joaquin. She is survived by her siblings, Adelaida Primero, Arsenia (Tranquilino) Arocena, Carmelita (Rodolfo) Lavetoria, Jesusa (Carlito) dela Cruz; nieces, Ashley Lavetoria, Joyce (Rommel) Martin, Rhealyn (Santi) Cantor, Joanna (Jarrett) Arocena, Leah (Scott) Coulter; nephews, Marc Primero, Dondee Lavetoria, Justin Lavetoria, Junnel dela Cruz, Mark Joaquin; grand-niece, Megan dela Cruz; and grand-nephews, Kyle & Axel Martin.
A celebration of her life will be held from 6pm-9pm on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Ballard Family Mortuary; eulogy will begin at 7pm, with prayer service to start at 7:30pm. Cremation will follow. We warmly welcome all of those who knew Arlene to join in honoring her memory.
