
November 19, 2016, at Hale Makua, Kahului, Maui. He was
born on October 8, 1932 in Copperstown, North Dakota.
He grew up in Bremerton, Washington area. His first wife
Patty, second wife Midori and two children, Darlene &
Darrel, brothers Ozzie, Oris, and George, and sister, Joyce
preceded him in death.
His longtime partner, Julie; sister, Inez Carpenter; brother,
Russell Herigstad; and a host of nieces and nephews
remain.
He served in the US Army. He graduated from Kitsap
County High School and Edison Radio and Television
School in Seattle, Washington. Before launching his career
with ABC Television Network as an engineer for 35 years.
He retired for several years in Ventura, California and he
moved to Maui with Julie in 2009. He loved to travel, golf,
spending time with family and friends and taking walks on
the beaches. He attended Calvary Chapel.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a short service at
the Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao on Friday,
December 2, 2016 at 11am
Memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Chapel
Central Maui.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation
to the East Wing Nurses & Staff at the Hale Makua Care
Center and Hospice Maui for the care and support in his
final days.
