Bernardo Tacderan Cariaga, 97, of Napili, passed away in the Philippines on September 2, 2010. He was born in Badoc, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. He retired as a harvester operator and seasonal luna at Maui Land & Pineapple Co. in Honolua. He is survived by his companion, Agustina Bolante; daughter, Carmen Garcia; son, Benny "Benson" Cariaga; grandchildren, Tina (Kyle) Hiromoto, Catalino (Rosalinda) Garcia Jr., Patricia Garcia; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kristofer Hiromoto, and Angelo, Bernard, and Catalino Garcia III.
Visitation: Private family viewing will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Maria Lanakila Church, public visitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and mass at 7 p.m.
Services: Visitation will continue at Ballard Family Mortuary on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 9 a.m., services at 11 a.m.
Interment: Burial 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow at Ballard Family Mortuary.
