It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Pat Duarte, who left us on October 16, 2025, at the age of 83. Surrounded by her ohana, she passed peacefully at home. Pat was born December 31, 1941, to Albert and Margaret Braun. She worked as the controller and retired from the Westin Maui Resort.
She is survived by her children: David (Colleen) Braun Sr., Donald (Joyce) Duarte, Lisa Rafanan, Keith (Michelle) Duarte, Kenneth (Irene) Duarte and Bryson Duarte. She is also survived by her grandchildren: David Jr., Crystal and Kaylee Braun, Kanani Duarte, Alex (Carleen) Kelekoma, Danielle and Spencer Rafanan, Dustin, Kaylie and Ashley Duarte, Shanaye Recopuerto, Brandon, Kyle, Kaipo, Devin, Jaden, Kennedy and Brooklyn Duarte, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is predeceased by Kekoa Duarte and Clifford Rafanan.
Private Service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
