Catherine Phillips Winters was born on November 2, 1919 in Pukalani, Maui and passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving night, November 24, 2016 at Reliable Health & Rehab in Atlanta, GA, just 3 weeks after celebrating her 97th birthday. She was an active member of her parish, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Atlanta.
She was predeceased by her parents Manuel & Adelaide Phillips, 16 of her siblings, her husband William Winters, Sr. (Army retired), her son William Winters, Jr., & her daughters-in-law Lynne & Gail Winters. She is survived by her son Wayne Winters of Atlanta, GA, 2 sisters Josephine Phillips Hageman of Norfolk, VA, Floriene Phillips Matthews of Keysville, VA & numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral mass will be held over urn at 9:00am on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Church in Makawao with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
