Charles retired from Maui Electric where he worked as a welder.
He is survived by his sons, Alexander Ma’alea, Charles Ma’alea; daughters, Charline (Ray) Garcia, Rose (Pieter) Smith, Jonette Ma’alea, Naomi (Jim) Conaway, Lorna Ma’alea; sisters, Winona Nunes, Ellen Yap; 19 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, Rachael Mae Ma’alea.
