
Clare Leroy Hiner, 91, of Kihei, Maui;
passed away on January 13, 2016, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born on February 3, 1924 in Nebraska.
Clare was a commercial fisherman and helped pioneer the king crab fisheries in Cook Inlet and Kodiak, Alaska.
Service will be held at The Faith in Jesus Church on Monday January 18, 2016 at 4;00 p.m. with service at 5:00 p.m.
Clare is survived by his wife, Betty Hiner; son, Todd (Cecile) Hiner; daughter, Lucinda (Lee) Neel; sister, Patricia Moffett; grandchildren, Andrew (Carrie) Damron, Alan (Jacquie) Damron, Iona (Jason) Gold, Ryan Fletcher, Autumn (Tony) Foster, Jasmine Hiner, Julian (Ashlee) Hiner, Ashley (Mariah) Hiner, Isaac Hiner, Elijah Hiner, Isabelle Hiner; great-grandchildren, William Damron, Olivia Damron, Nathan Damron,Noah Damron, Andrew Gold, Samuel Gold, Finley Fletcher, Reef Fletcher, Cydney Stockfleth, Taylor Foster, Braden Hiner, Gavin Bean, Aanya Hiner, Ailey Hiner. Kaia Hiner, Madden Hiner. Clare is predeceased by daughter; Rhonda Damron and son; Reid Hiner.
