David Matthew Leffler, 59, of Makawao, passed away on April 13, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born on August 26, 1967 in Dayton, Ohio.
David was a retired Maui Police Department Seargent with over 25 years of service. His first priority was always his family (wife and kids), whom he loved with all his heart. He also loved riding his motorcycle, going to the beach and barbecues. He was predeceased by his parents, Larry & Juanita Leffler. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheyenne Leffler; his son, Holden James Leffler; daughter, Dakota Marie Leffler; 3 siblings, Debbie Leffler, Larilynn Koury (Haumeed), Melissa Bell (Trevor); and many nieces & nephews.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului. Visitation from 5-9pm; services to start at 6:30pm.
