Douglas "Butch" Akina, 69 of Kihei, passed away at his home with Partners in Care, private nursing, and with Hospice Care. He was born February 4, 1943 in Kihei. Mr. Akina was the owner of Akina Aloha Tours and Akina Bus Service. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kahalekai Akina; son, Douglas Kama Akina; daughters, Darlene Akina, Cassie (Kalai) Akina-Ancog; sisters, Millie (Walla) Wietecha, Peggy Hamili, Jackie Gomez, Etheleen (Don) Coleman; 7 grandchildren; hanai sons, Mark Elf, Bully Donaghy and Kalani Hirata.
