Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Ballard Family Mortuary; prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Christ the King Church in Kahului; mass will begin at 7:00 p.m.; cremation to follow.
Emerlita was a former laundry attendant at the Grand Wailea Resort. She is predeceased by her parents, Emilio & Maria Butihi and her brother, Romeo Butihi. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerardo Arenas; sons, Jermer (Jamie) Arenas, Arnold Arenas, Michael (Miki) Arenas, Andrew (Leimomi) Arenas; siblings, Rodolfo (Lourdes) Butihi, Helen (Rodrigo) Sanchez, Elnedo (Marilyn) Butihi, Willie (Maricel) Butihi, Ezar Butihi; and 12 grandchildren, Jedric, Miana, Tayven, Aharon, Nikki, Alexander, Isaac, Mylea, Zaihen, Alia, Aleina and Lucky.
