Florencia Tapuro

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 15, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Wailuku, with visitation from 10:00 am; Mass at 12:30 pm; followed by 2:00 pm burial at Maui Memorial Park-Main Section, Wailuku. Norman’s Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

Florencia retired from Maui Marriott Resort in Kaanapali. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, baking and Senior Citizen activities. She also was a devoted Los Angeles Lakers fan. Her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she spoiled and loved with all her heart.

She is survived by her sons, Pedro Tapuro, Jr., Philip (Kim) Tapuro; daughters, Rosie Tapuro, Lena Tapuro, Maria Uwekoolani; brother, Ernesto (Cecilia) Manegdeg; sisters, Caridad Manegdeg, Lolita Manegdeg; 14 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Pedro Tapuro, Sr.; sister, Abel Manegdeg Cruz & grandson, Kawika Tapuro-Uwekoolani.
