July 16, 1926 in Wailuku, graduated from Baldwin
High School and served in the U.S. Army.
He managed the Maui Bowling Center and Aloha
Lanes, worked with his brother, Tom, at Tri-Isle
Homes and retired from FKS Rental & Sales.
He is predeceased by parents, Riichi Shibano and
Ura (Takeda) Shibano; siblings, Dr. Dorothy
Shibano, Tom Shibano and Noboru Takeda;
survived by wife, Grace Shibano; children, Stuart
(Colleen) Shibano, Norine (Dereck) Kalaiwaa,
Gayle (Scot) Van Marter and Lloyd Shibano;
brother, Shigenobu Shibano; 4 grandchildren,
Stacie and Robyn Shibano, Lindsey and Allyn
Kalaiwaa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24,
2016 at Wailuku Hongwanji Mission from 4:00
p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; with service to begin at 5:00
p.m. No flowers, aloha attire.
