Georgina graduated from Maui High School in 1963 and married Abel Fernandez, Jr. on April 4, 1964.
Georgina was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, bocce and spending time with her family and friends. She served as President of the Stockton Hawaiian Clun and an active member of the Portuguese and Italian clubs. She was a beloved volunteer with the Cancer Society of America where she assisted cancer patients, survivors and their families.
Georgina is survived by two sons, Abel (Rosa) Fernandez, III of Spreckels, CA and Greg (Elisabetta) Fernandez of Sherwood, OR; her sister, Annette (Mike) Pszyk; grandchildren, Georgina (16), Isabella (13), Lucas (9) and Victoria (18 months).
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 4300 Lower Kula Road, Waiakoa with visitation from 10:00 am; Mass at 11:30 am; followed by 1:00 pm burial at Maui Veteran’s Cemetery.
