Hymie Felicilda, 97, of Makawao, Maui, was born March 22, 1929 in Lahaina to Alejo and Guillerma Felicilda. He passed away at his home on April 21, 2026, surrounded by family, under the care of Hospice Maui.
Hymie retired from Fong Construction after many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Juanita and daughter, Coreen Nater (Bill Pires). He is survived by his children, Hymie Felicilda Jr. (Shelly), Michael Felicilda (Darlene), Gordon Felicilda (Laurie), Valerie Matsuura (Harry); a sister, Rose Geralde; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului, with visitation from 9-11am; services will begin at 11am; cremation will follow. We would like to thank Hospice Maui — Dan Church, Rachel, Janell, and Robin. Dr. Protain and the staff at Liberty Dialysis. We thank Nancy Edelhertz, our home care nurse.
