Irene Kaehukai Tripp, 89, of Hilo, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hamakua and retired as a Housekeeper. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hilo (1373 Kilauea Avenue Hilo,HI 96720). Visitation at 9:00am, service at 10:30am. She is survived by her spouse Robert K. Tripp Jr. of Hilo; son Henry (Keala) Tripp of Makakilo; daughters Joyce Johansen of Las Vegas, Charlene (Koli) Kauvaka of Ewa Beach, Wanza (Fetu’u) Falevai of Kahuku and La Rue (Siotame) Lauaki of Laie; 30 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
