Janet was born on October 28, 1932. She was the daughter of Joe F. & Agnes P. Caires of Makawao.
Pre-deceased by her husband Herbert Tavares and brother Melvin (Shirley) Caires.
Janet is survived by her sons, Randal and Don Tavares, Granddaughter, Tanya Tavares. She is also survived by her brother Reginald Caires (Yolanda).
Janet enjoyed cooking and making her Portuguese sweet bread. She also was a bookkeeper for Don’s Trucking LLC.
Services and Burial will be held at Holy Ghost Church in Kula, on October 28, 2024. Visitation to start at 9:00 am to 10:00 am, Eulogy at 10:00 am, Mass and Burial to follow.
