Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary; prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and urn burial will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery at 1 p.m.
John retired from HC& S as a tractor operator.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn(John) Freitas; son, John Leroy (Marlene) Vierra; sister, Catherine Short; grandchildren, Jennifer (Miles) Sakamura, Michael (Hayley) Freitas, Michele Vierra, John (Kana) Vierra III, Melanie Vierra, and Jayson (Misty) Vierra; 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his wife, Mary B. Vierra.
The family would like to acknowledge Hospice Maui for their compassionate care of John.
