

John Molina, Jr., 74, of Pukalani, entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on August 22, 2018. He was born on September 5, 1943 in Paia.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church in Makawao. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 11:00 am.
John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Charmaine Molina; mother, Gwendolyn “Gandy” Molina; daughters, Darlene (Lionel) Cravalho, Lesley (Rose Calumag) Kahalehau, Johnelle (Jayson) Omura; sisters, Charlotte Torres, Annette (Mark) Alexander, Midge Vogan, Ann (Clifford) Cua; grandchildren, Noelle Kim, Tiasha and Teilana Akre, Kaylynn Kahalehau, Justin and Jodie Cravalho; and great-grandchildren Kehale’a and Ale’a Koa.
In 1964, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served our country for nine years in California, New York and Guam. Upon honorable discharge from the military, he returned home to Maui and worked for HC&S for the next seven years. Following his HC&S career, he worked as a shift supervisor at Maui Electric Company, Kahului Power Plant, where he then retired after 21 years of service. He was a strong man of faith and a devoted and loving husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His life was a blessing to many and his presence will truly be missed. He will always and forever be our HERO.
He was predeceased by his father, John Molina Sr.; and grandson, Kawena Kim.
