JOSEPH "JOE" LIWAI III, 51 of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died September 11, 2010 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Sergeant First Class for the United States Army.Family request casual attire and flowers are welcomed. He is survived by mother Dolores Liwai of Hilo; daughter Kayla L. Liwai of Honolulu; sons Joelin D., Jacob M., Joshua K. Liwai all of Honolulu; step-son Mack-Neil Ramos of Texas; sisters Melissa (George Jr) Liwai-Halas of Honolulu, Lori Ann (Darin) Kong of Hilo, brothers Randy (Sharon) Liwai of Hilo, Dwayne Liwai; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
