Justin Kaeo Kauai

Justin Kaeo Kauai, 43 of Kihei, Maui, passed away on January 28, 2026, under the care of Islands Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 25, 1982, to Leslie “Masa” Kauai Sr. and Darlene Rocha in Wailuku, Maui.

Kaeo was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He never hesitated to help, always offering support and kindness to those who reached out. His generosity and spirit touched countless lives, and his memory will continue to inspire us every day. He truly will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ballard Family Mortuary from 5:00pm to 9:00pm; with services to begin at 6:30pm; cremation to follow.

Kaeo is predeceased by his love of his life, Shelly Castro; niece, Teah-Mailani Kauai; grandparents, Joseph Iokepa “Pluto” (Elizabeth ”Eva”) Kauai; Rufino Gondoli (Conception “Connie”) Duldulao and stepmother, Gai Kauai; survived by sons, Rysen “Ho’ola’i” Fillazar, Justin “Jah” Castro; grandsons, JJ & Makoa Castro; parents, Darlene (Larry) Rocha & Leslie “Masa” Kauai Sr.; siblings, Leslie “Boom” (Charisse) Kauai Jr.; Rufina (Joe) Kauai; nieces, Wailana, Chaylee, Chayzyn & Jolie; nephews, Nainoa, Ryden, Alika & Bransen; grand nephews, Tauari’i & Kainoa; numerous Uncles, Aunties and Cousins.
