Kahu Charles "Uncle Charlie" Kauluwehi Maxwell, Sr., 74, of Pukalani, Maui, passed away on March 15, 2012, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on May 14, 1937 in Napili, Maui. Charlie was a former Police Officer, Native Hawaiian Leader, and Kahu. He is survived by his 2 daughters, SheriAnn Hinano Maxwell (Rowell T.K.O. Kim), KathyMarie Hiilei Maxwell-Juan (Rodney A. Juan); son, Charles Kauluwehi Maxwell, Jr. (Raynette K. Maxwell); sister, Elizabeth Keala Han; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation: Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Services: Service starts at 12:00 p.m.
Interment: Burial will follow, 5:00 p.m., at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku.
