Karl Hagen, 61, died at Maui Memorial Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike. He was an avid bicyclist logging several thousand miles each year. Karl was born in Seattle, WA and still lives part time in Issaquah, WA. He has owned a home and been a regular visitor on the island for the past 30 years. For the last three years he and his wife have lived in Wailea several months during the year. He is survived by his wife, Robin, daughters; Ariel and Michaela, mother; Catherine, sister; Karin Schauer, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. A private family celebration will be held at his home in Washington. Memorial gifts can be made to the Maui Humane Society. Arrangements have been handled by Ballard Family Mortuary. The family would like to thank Maui for all of the Aloha and outpouring of love and support from neighbors and friends.
