Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Kahului Ward at Maui Lani Stake Center; service will begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 2:00 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.
Kay was a retired school Secretary for the Department of Education. She is survived by her son, Ryan Shimada; daughter, Lori (Cyle) Sanada; brothers, Tadaoki (Fumie) Ariyoshi, Henry Ariyoshi; sister-in-law, Mildred Ariyoshi; and grandson, Ken Sanada
