Larry “Bugs” Bento, 69, passed away at home surrounded by his family with the assistance of Hospice Maui. He was born in Wailuku, Maui, September 2, 1946. He retired January, 2005, from the elevator trade after 36 years. He was hard-working and provided unselfishly for his family.
Larry enjoyed playing golf with his friends and the game of pool with family and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth A. Bento, his son, Jesse K.R. Bento and his parents, Charles “Sonny” and Daisy Bento.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy M. Bento, his daughter, Samantha M. Bento (Johannes A. Empron) of Maui, his brother, Charles (Shirley) Bento, of Titusville, FL., 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 1 step-grandson, 1 step-granddaughter and 1 step-great-grandson.
In Lieu of flowers and monetary gifts, the family requests donations in his name to Hospice Maui, 400 Mahalani St., Wailuku, HI 96793.
Services for Larry will be held at a later date.
