
Larry E. Shamblin Sr, 66, of Hāna, Maui passed away on April 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born on March 5, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm with service at 7pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Scattering of ashes will follow in Hāna.
Larry was a Field Superintendent for Lanai Builders, until he retired in 2014. He was a member of the Hawaii Carpenters Union, Local 745. He loved carpentry and worked in construction his entire life. If he wasn’t building something, he was fishing. He lived a good life while he was strong and healthy.
He is predeceased by his parents, Leon Shamblin and Mary Ann Plumley. He is survived by his wife, Beverly “Nalani” Shamblin; sons, Larry Shamblin Jr, David Michael (Leihala) Shamblin, Abraham Ikaika Shamblin; daughter, Tammy (Darrell) Ramos; grandchildren, Sydney (Keola Sinenci), Natasha, Kaawaloa, Sherae, Iokepa, Kamana`opono, Ka`iulani, Makanani, Koali`i, Waipahē, Nalei, Tehya; great-grandchildren, Kaimalia, Neveah, Kehilina`i, Malinaonālani, Alize, Aubree; brother-in-laws Keith (Gizelle) Kuailani, Keoki Kalani; sister-in-law Aloha (Bob) Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews.
