Lawrence Joseph Perreira passed away surrounded by his family on August 15, 2025 under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on April 5, 1936 to James and Jessie Perreira of Paia, Maui.
Lawrence was a wonderful husband, father and papa. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved working in his garden, wood working, welding, and relaxing in his patio having a Crown Royal.
He is survived by his sister Margaret “Molly” (James) Medeiros, daughter Clarice (Nathan) Kaawa, son Lawrence “Larry” (Carolyn) Perreira, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Lawrence is pre-deceased by the love of his life, Lorraine (Ferreira) Perreira.
Services will be held at St. Joseph Church in Makawao on October 16, 2025, at 9:00am. Mass will be at 11:00 with the burial to follow at Makawao Veteran’s Cemetery.
Lawrence’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice Maui, Ballard’s Family Mortuary, and St. Joseph’s Church.
