LEANDRO PARANADA SR, 86 of Hilo, died October 3, 2010 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Cabugao Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he worked as a Plant Mill Operator for Kohala Sugar Company, and Hilo Coast Sugar Company. He was a member of St. Joe Catholic Church, Big Island Filipino Community Council, and Sons and Daughters of Cabugao Ilocos Sur. Family request casual attire. He is survived by Wife Esmenia Paranada, of Hilo; sons Leandro (Patty) Paranda Jr of Hilo; Edgar (Tina) Paranada of Tacoma, Washington, Emerson (Lolita) Paranada of Hilo.12 grand children, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Funeral service scheduled for Friday October 15, 2010 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Visitation 04:00 PM, service 06:00 PM. Friends may call again on Saturday October 16, 2010 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, visitation 11:00 am, mass 12:00 pm.
Interment: Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park.
