Maria Joaquina "Tina" Lai Hipp, 80, of Kahului and formerly of Hilo, passed away on January 28, 2011, at Hale Makua, Kahului. She was born March 11, 1930 in Hilo. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in her name.Mrs. Lai Hipp was a Sales Manager at Woolworth's Store. She is survived by her son, Dennis Lai Hipp; daughter, Debra Lai Hipp; brother, Ernest Chan Nui; sisters, Betty Nelson, Etta Alicuben, Elizabeth Corley; grandchildren, Kenika Lai Hipp, Mahealani Pascua, Kainoa Pascua, Catherine Hall; great-grandchildren, Harmony-Ann Pascua, and Xaiver Pascua.
