Marie Marks Mendoza, 87, of Wailuku, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on March 18, 2015 at Hale Makua Kahului; surrounded by her Family and friends. She was born on January 9, 1928 in Puunene, Maui.
Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed doing embroidery, doing puzzle books, word search, and listening to her Hawaiian music. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ballard Family Mortuary, services will begin at 11 a.m., burial 1 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
Marie is survived by her sons, Ronald (Robin) Mendoza, Gerald (Lehua) Mendoza, Kenneth Mendoza, and Byron (Haunani) Mendoza; daughters, Francine (Terry) Wong, Sandy (Bootie) Gomes, and hanai daughter, Peaches (Eric) Sodetani; sister, Christina Berce; 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
